February 26, 2010- Web Savvy workshops - fully booked

On February 5th, we officially started delivering the Web Savvy face-to-face training sessions to the field.

Over the next months, Monika Jankowska-Pacyna will criss-cross Ontario to deliver the workshops to a wide range of organizations and agencies that requested the training.

Among them are:

  • Ottawa-Carleton District School Board
  • Ottawa Community Coalition for Literacy
  • Northern Connections Adult Learning Centre
  • Adult Basic Education Association, Hamilton's Connection to Lifelong Learning
  • Peel-Halton-Dufferin Adult Learning Network
  • Literacy Council of South Temiskaming
  • Toronto Public Library, Adult Literacy Services
  • Six Nations Achievement Centre
  • St. Marys Adult Learning Program
  • College Sector Committee for Adult Upgrading
  • Simcoe/Muskoka Literacy Network Network
  • Tri-County Literacy Council

Although the current project, which ends May 31, 2010, called for delivering 6 to 8 workshops, due to its popularity, we have expanded its reach, and we will deliver the training to more than ten organizations.

With our fully booked schedule however, we will have to put any incoming training requests on a waiting list.

This year we hope to apply for more funding for face-to-face training. If the proposal is successful, we will resume offering the training in the field and give priority to those organizations on the waiting list.

If you are interested in the workshops, please contact Monika at mjankowska-pacyna@alphaplus.ca or 1-800-788-1120 x 117 to secure a spot on the waiting list. She will be happy to answer any questions you might have, and she will help you plan for the potential future sessions.
